Who might be able to join this trial:
- People between 18 and 65 years of age
- People who have been diagnosed with a liver condition called metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (a type of fat-related liver disease), confirmed through a liver tissue sample, blood tests, ultrasound scan, or a special scan that measures liver stiffness
Who may not be able to join:
- People over 65 years of age
- People with long-term kidney disease

- People with a condition affecting the heart's natural pacemaker, or those who have an artificial pacemaker fitted

- People who have had a specific internal procedure to redirect blood flow around the liver (called a TIPS procedure)
- People who have liver cancer
- People with low blood count (anaemia) — specifically, women with a haemoglobin level below 8 g/dL or men with a level below 9 g/dL at the time of assessment
