Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 18 and 75 years old (inclusive)
• You are reasonably active and able to care for yourself, with only limited physical restrictions (confirm with trial site)
• Your doctors expect you to live for more than 3 months
• You have been diagnosed with differentiated thyroid cancer, had your thyroid fully or mostly removed by surgery, and your cancer has come back locally or spread to other parts of the body, as confirmed by scans, blood tests, or a tissue sample
• You have at least one measurable tumor that is 10mm or larger in size
• Your blood counts, kidney function, and liver function results are within acceptable ranges (confirm with trial site for specific values)
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you have had a negative pregnancy test within the last 7 days and are willing to use reliable contraception during the trial and for 1 year after your last treatment dose
• If you are a man, you are willing to use reliable contraception during the trial and for 6 months after your last treatment dose
• You are willing to take part, have signed a consent form, and are able to attend follow-up appointments

Who may not be able to join:

• You have high blood pressure that is not well controlled by medication (systolic at or above 140mmHg or diastolic at or above 90mmHg)
• You have a serious heart condition, such as an irregular heartbeat, history of heart attack, or significant heart failure that is not well controlled
• You have diabetes that is not well controlled (confirm with trial site for specific blood sugar levels)
• You have a serious active infection that is not well controlled
• You have active hepatitis B or hepatitis C, or any active infection currently requiring antibiotic, antiviral, or antifungal treatment
• You have significant kidney problems, as shown by protein in your urine above a certain level
• You have seizures that require ongoing treatment
• You have had surgery, a biopsy, or a major injury within the 28 days before joining the trial
• You have a history of substance or psychiatric medication misuse that you are unable or unwilling to stop
• You are allergic to the study drugs (recombinant human thyroid stimulating hormone or radioactive iodine-131) or any of their ingredients
• You had a bacterial, viral, or fungal infection within the last 4 weeks and still have symptoms
• You received certain types of iodine-based contrast dyes used in medical scans within the past 1 to 3 months (confirm with trial site for which types apply)
• You are pregnant, breastfeeding, had unprotected sex in the two weeks before screening, or had a positive pregnancy blood test at screening
• You or your partner plan to have children, or plan to donate sperm or eggs during the study or within 6 months after it ends, and you are unwilling to use contraception during that time
• The study doctors feel that any other health condition you have could put you at risk or prevent you from completing the study
