For Patients:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You have bladder cancer that has spread to other parts of the body or cannot be surgically removed
  • You are receiving or planning to receive drug treatment (such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy) for your bladder cancer at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center
  • You are enrolling either around the time of your advanced bladder cancer diagnosis or within 8 weeks of starting your first round of drug treatment for advanced disease
  • You are able to speak, read, understand, and write in English

For Caregivers:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are the caregiver of a patient who has already enrolled in this trial
  • You are able to speak, read, understand, and write in English
  • You are enrolling within the same time window as the patient (from the patient's initial visit up to 8 weeks after they start treatment)

Who may not be able to join:

For Patients:

  • You are not receiving any form of drug treatment for bladder cancer due to poor overall health, other serious health conditions, or your organs not functioning well enough (confirm with trial site)
  • Your bladder cancer is mainly of a specific type called "small cell" (confirm with trial site)
  • You have difficulty making decisions for yourself and, in the opinion of the study team, would be unable to take part in the study's educational sessions and surveys
  • You are currently pregnant

For Caregivers:

  • You have cognitive difficulties or trouble making decisions for yourself
  • You are under 18 years of age
