Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are able to give their own consent to participate
- People aged 65 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with bladder cancer (confirmed by tissue testing) and are scheduled to have their bladder surgically removed (called a radical cystectomy) along with a procedure to redirect how urine leaves the body, at the University of Chicago
- People having this surgery whether the goal is to cure the cancer or to manage symptoms

- People who are having bladder removal surgery for reasons not related to cancer
