Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have had your entire thyroid removed and have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer (any type or stage), and doctors need to check if any cancer remains or has spread
  • You have known or suspected thyroid cancer that has come back or spread, found through scans (such as ultrasound, CT, MRI, or PET scan) or through high levels of a protein called thyroglobulin in your blood
  • You have thyroid cancer that is no longer responding to radioactive iodine treatment, and your doctors are considering a different type of medication called a TKI (targeted therapy)
  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are able and willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
  • Your doctors expect you to live for more than 3 months
  • You are well enough to carry out basic daily activities — not fully bedridden or completely dependent on others for care (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your thyroid cancer started somewhere else in the body and spread to the thyroid, rather than starting in the thyroid itself
  • You are under 18 years old
  • You are unable or unwilling to sign a consent form
  • Your doctors expect you to live for less than 3 months
  • You are largely unable to care for yourself or spend most of your time in bed (confirm with trial site)
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
