Who might be able to join this trial:

• You must be 18 years of age or older
• You must have been diagnosed with a specific type of kidney cancer called "clear cell renal cell carcinoma," confirmed by a lab analysis of removed tissue
• You must have had surgery to remove your kidney (fully or partially) and/or any spread of the cancer, leaving no detectable cancer remaining
• Your surgery must have taken place between 4 and 16 weeks before the planned imaging scan for this trial
• Your cancer must be considered high or intermediate-high risk of coming back, based on how far it had spread into surrounding tissue or lymph nodes at the time of surgery (confirm with trial site for your specific stage)
• If your cancer had spread to one other part of the body, that site must have been surgically removed within two years of your original kidney surgery, with no cancer remaining
• Women who could become pregnant must have a negative pregnancy test within 24 hours before receiving the trial's imaging agent
• You must be willing to use two forms of contraception until at least 42 days after receiving the trial's imaging agent
• You must be able to lie still and flat for less than one hour for the imaging procedure

Who may not be able to join:

• You are not able to give written consent to participate
• There is any sign of remaining or returning cancer at the time of the planned scan
• You have already had post-surgery imaging to check your disease status before enrolling
• You have another cancer that has not been treated (exceptions may apply for certain low-risk prostate cancers or non-melanoma skin cancers — confirm with trial site)
• You have a history of a treated cancer that is still progressing, or a Stage III cancer requiring active treatment within the past 3 years
• You have a severe allergy to the contrast dye used in CT scans, or your kidneys are not functioning well enough to safely receive it
• You have received systemic drug treatments for kidney cancer (such as immunotherapy or targeted therapy) or radiation therapy within the past 4 weeks
• You have taken part in another experimental drug study within the past 14 days
• You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• You have a known allergy to the specific imaging agent used in this trial (girentuximab)
• You are unable to lie still and flat for approximately 30 minutes during the imaging procedure
