Who might be able to join this trial:
For patients with lung cancer:
- Adults who have been newly diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) or a related lung cancer type (CPC)
- People who are receiving care at Nantes University Hospital
- People who are covered by a social security or equivalent health insurance scheme
- People receiving systemic treatment such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or treatment as part of another clinical trial (only where that other trial is not blinded/secret about which treatment is given)
- People who have agreed to take part by signing the study consent form
For healthy volunteers:
- Adults covered by a social security or equivalent health insurance scheme
- People with no known infectious illness, cancer history, chronic autoimmune disease, or current immune-suppressing treatment
- People who have agreed to take part by signing the study consent form
For an additional sub-study (ancillary study):
- People with advanced (metastatic) NSCLC that has a specific genetic change called KRAS G12C, who are being treated with Sotorasib, Adagrasib, or a similar KRAS G12C-targeting medicine, either alone or combined with another treatment
Who may not be able to join:
For patients with lung cancer:
- People who have previously received anticancer treatment for lung cancer
- People who have not agreed to participate in the BREATHE collection
- People with a history of another cancer (not including thoracic/chest cancer) where there has been evidence of disease within the last 2 years
- People currently enrolled in another clinical trial where the treatment is blinded (meaning it is unknown which treatment is being given)
- People under legal guardianship
- People receiving AME (French state medical aid) (confirm with trial site)
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
For healthy volunteers:

For the ancillary sub-study:
