Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- You have been officially diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) based on recognised medical guidelines (DSM-5)
- You are able to understand and agree to take part in the study on your own
- You speak Portuguese and/or English fluently
- If you could become pregnant, you agree to use an effective form of contraception throughout the study
Who may not be able to join:
- Your OCD symptoms are considered mild based on a standard assessment score at the first visit (confirm with trial site)
- You have a serious medical condition that is not currently under control
- You have a known physical abnormality or damage to your brain or spinal cord
- You have any electrical or metal implants in your body that are not safe to use with electromagnetic equipment
- You have electrical or metal implants specifically in your brain
- You have a heart implant (such as a pacemaker)
- You have epilepsy
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
- You currently have or have had problems with alcohol or drug misuse or dependence
- You have a significant condition affecting memory and thinking (such as dementia)
- You have a developmental condition affecting your intelligence or any other type of significant cognitive difficulty
- You have an active neurological (brain or nervous system) disease
- You are currently experiencing a psychotic episode or a mood disorder serious enough to require a hospital stay
- You are unable to have an MRI scan for any reason
- You have previously received TMS (a type of brain stimulation) as a treatment for OCD
- For any other reason you are not able to give informed consent to participate
