Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with one of the following blood or bone marrow conditions: acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, chronic myeloproliferative disease, chronic myeloid leukemia, lymphoblastic lymphoma, or myeloma.
- People whose disease is at a stable or controlled stage, meaning fewer than 5% abnormal cells in the bone marrow and no abnormal cells in the blood at the time of joining, or at least a partial response to treatment for lymphoma-type conditions.
- People who have a compatible bone marrow donor — either a related donor who is a 10 out of 10 tissue-type match, or an unrelated donor who is a 9 or 10 out of 10 tissue-type match.
- People aged 18 or older.
- People without serious ongoing health conditions alongside their blood disorder.
Who may not be able to join:
- People with severe kidney, liver, or bilirubin (bile) abnormalities beyond certain measured thresholds (confirm with trial site for exact values).
- People with significant breathing difficulties or a need for supplemental oxygen.
- People with unstable blood pressure or circulation problems.
- People with an active bacterial or fungal infection that is not responding to treatment, indicated by elevated inflammation markers in the blood.
- People whose overall physical functioning is rated below 70% on a standard health scale (known as the Karnofsky index).
- People who have previously had an allogeneic (donor) stem cell or bone marrow transplant.
- People with kidney function below a specific measured level (confirm with trial site).
- People with serious heart conditions, including reduced pumping function, unstable chest pain, severe heart failure, or a certain type of serious heart rhythm problem.
- People with severely reduced lung function below specific measured thresholds (confirm with trial site).
