Who might be able to join this trial:

For patients:

• You are 18 years of age or older at the time of signing the consent form
• You have been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) — a specific type of lung scarring disease — confirmed by a chest scan and, if available, a lung tissue sample
• You have a type of lung scarring condition that runs in your family, meaning at least one other biological family member also has a similar lung scarring condition
• You have at least one close biological relative (such as a parent, child, or sibling) who is over 40 years old

For first-degree biological relatives (e.g., parents, children, or siblings of patients):

• You are 40 years of age or older

Who may not be able to join:

For patients:

• You have a lung scarring condition that is caused by something other than IPF, such as a condition related to an autoimmune disease, a medication, or inflammation causing granules in the lungs
• You are unwilling or unable to sign the consent form

For first-degree biological relatives:

• You have already been diagnosed with IPF
• You have a history of severe anxiety, severe depression, thoughts of suicide, or another serious mental health condition that required a hospital stay (confirm with trial site)
• You are unwilling or unable to sign the consent form
