Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are scheduled to have surgery to remove all or part of your kidney due to a kidney tumor, at Bordeaux University Hospital's urology department
  • You have had, or are scheduled to have, a CT scan (a type of detailed X-ray) as part of your surgical planning
  • You have agreed to have your information added to a medical database called UroCCR
  • You have agreed to take part in the Rein 3D Print Mechanics study specifically

Who may not be able to join:

  • Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
  • People who cannot have an MRI scan for medical reasons (confirm with trial site)
  • People who cannot receive a special dye (called gadolinium contrast agent) used during MRI scans, for medical reasons
  • People who have had a biopsy (a tissue sample taken) within 15 days before their MRI, CT, or ultrasound scans, as this could affect the accuracy of results
  • People who have metal implants or hardware in their lower back or spine (thoracolumbar arthrodesis material)
  • People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or above (a measure of weight relative to height)
  • People whose kidney tumor is mainly fluid-filled (cystic) with a solid area smaller than 2 cm
  • People whose kidney tumor has a lot of dead tissue (necrotic) with a solid area smaller than 2 cm
  • People who have a build-up of fluid in their abdomen (belly)
  • People who are under legal guardianship or protection
  • People who have difficulty understanding or communicating in French
