Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older
- People who have been diagnosed with both Metabolic Syndrome (a combination of conditions including a large waist size, high blood fats, low "good" cholesterol, high blood sugar, and high blood pressure) and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
- People who have no medical reasons preventing them from doing exercise, including walking

Who may not be able to join:
- People who are unable to do brisk walking exercise
- People who are already receiving dialysis or have had a kidney transplant
- People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial involving health behaviour change or a medical treatment
- People who have been diagnosed by a doctor with a psychiatric (mental health) illness
- People who have been identified as having a cognitive impairment (difficulty with thinking or memory), based on a short screening test
- People whose medications have been adjusted within the past six months
- People who have already been doing regular planned exercise in the past month (defined as at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise or 75 minutes of intense exercise per week)
