Who might be able to join this trial:

• Children between 9 and 14 years old.

• Children with sickle cell anemia who are medically stable and taking their medications as prescribed.

Who may not be able to join:

• Children who have a diagnosed heart or breathing condition.
• Children who have kidney failure.
• Children who have had a heart attack, particularly within the past month.
• Children who have unstable chest pain (confirm with trial site).
• Children who have recently had surgery on the chest or abdomen.
• Children who have an aneurysm in the chest or abdomen, or who currently have a collapsed lung.
• Children who are experiencing a painful sickle cell crisis at the time of the trial.
• Children who have muscle tightness, stiff joints, or physical deformities.
• Children who have a neuromuscular condition, such as muscle inflammation or nerve damage in the limbs.
