Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older
- People with a kidney mass that has not spread to nearby lymph nodes or other parts of the body, and is at an early stage (clinical stage T1 or T2)
- People who are planned to have a type of keyhole kidney surgery assisted by a robotic system (called robot-assisted partial nephrectomy)
- People who have had a specific type of CT scan (a multiphase CT scan with an arterial phase image) available
- People who have voluntarily agreed to take part and signed a consent form
- People who speak or read at least one of the study languages: Dutch, English, or French
Who may not be able to join:
- People with more than 3 kidney masses on the same kidney being treated
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have had previous kidney surgery that is expected to make the upcoming kidney cancer surgery more complicated
- People whose kidney mass is at a more advanced stage than T2 (confirm with trial site)
- People for whom the surgeon plans to perform the surgery without temporarily cutting off blood flow to the kidney (called off-clamp resection)
- People with a cognitive (thinking or memory) disorder that would prevent them from completing study questionnaires
