Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with ADHD meeting the full set of criteria outlined in the DSM-5 (the standard medical handbook used to diagnose mental health conditions)
- People who are between 20 and 32 weeks pregnant at the time of joining
- People who speak English
- People who plan to give birth at UPMC Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh
Who may not be able to join:
- People who currently have an active substance use disorder
- People who have an intellectual disability
- People who have another serious mental health condition, including bipolar disorder, psychosis, or severe depression that involves thoughts of suicide or that requires a higher level of care such as inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment
- People whose pregnancy is considered high-risk and requires specialist care from a Maternal-Fetal Medicine team (for example, due to cancer, a pregnancy with multiple babies, or a placenta-related complication), or where the baby has been found to have a serious condition present from birth
