Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You can read and communicate in Swedish.
- You have access to a computer and the internet.
- You have a history of childhood mistreatment (such as emotional, physical, or sexual abuse or neglect), based on your answers to a specific questionnaire.
- You are currently experiencing at least moderate to severe symptoms of PTSD or complex PTSD, based on a specific questionnaire.
- If you are taking any medication, you must have been on it for at least 3 months, and the dose must not have changed in the last month.
- You have read and agreed to participate by signing a consent form.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have screened positive for alcohol misuse or drug/substance misuse based on specific questionnaires.
- You are currently experiencing symptoms of psychosis, a manic episode, or are at immediate risk of suicide.
- If your current medication affects heart rhythm readings (ECG), your physical response data may be left out of part of the study analysis — though this would not necessarily stop you from taking part in the treatment itself (confirm with trial site).
- You are currently receiving psychological therapy that focuses on feeling safe in social situations, PTSD, or complex PTSD.
