Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Women who are 45 years of age or older
  • Women who have gone through menopause
  • Women who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis and are considered at high risk of bone fractures

Who may not be able to join:

  • Women who have previously used treatments that significantly affect bone health
  • Women with a known bone disease other than osteoporosis, whether present from birth or developed later in life
  • Women with serious kidney disease, liver disease, heart or lung disease, or psychiatric illness
  • Women with abnormal levels of calcium or parathyroid hormone in their blood
  • Women with low vitamin D levels in their blood (below 20 ng/dL)
  • Women with anaemia, indicated by a low haematocrit level (below 32%)
  • Women with a history of cancer, with the exception of certain non-aggressive skin cancers
  • Women with a history of heavy alcohol use or substance abuse
  • Women with known medical reasons why the study medications romosozumab or teriparatide would not be suitable for them (confirm with trial site)
