Who might be able to join this trial:
- Be between 18 and 55 years old
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of bipolar I or bipolar II disorder, verified through a specific structured interview

- Be taking part in any other diet or weight management program during the trial
- Have any medical reason that makes fasting unsafe, as determined by the assessing doctor
- Have recently started (within the past 8 weeks) a structured talking therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy or similar approaches
- Have any other medical condition, substance use disorder, or thoughts of suicide that the medical team feels could affect your safety or ability to take part
