Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Men and women between 18 and 75 years old
  • People who have been diagnosed with episodic migraine or chronic migraine based on recognised international diagnostic guidelines
  • People with episodic migraine who have had between 8 and 14 migraine days per month over the past 3 months
  • People whose migraines have not responded well to treatment, meaning they have tried and not benefited from at least 3 different types of migraine prevention medications, and have had at least 8 severely disabling headache days per month for at least 3 months in a row
  • People who have never previously been treated with medications that target a substance in the body called CGRP (a type of newer migraine prevention treatment)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with a history of serious mental health conditions or other neurological (brain or nervous system) conditions
  • People diagnosed with other types of headache disorders, apart from occasional tension-type headaches where the person can clearly tell the difference between that and their migraines
  • People with other significant health conditions that could affect their participation (confirm with trial site)
  • People who live with ongoing long-term pain conditions
  • People with a history of alcohol or drug misuse
  • People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
