Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old (inclusive)
- You have had a genetic test (for medical reasons) that confirmed you carry a gene change in the TTR gene that is known or likely to cause disease (for example, variants called V30M, V122I, T60A, or others)
- Your age is within 10 years (younger or older) of a specific reference age related to the study design (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You already have signs or symptoms of TTR-related heart disease or nerve disease
- You are currently taking, or have recently taken (within the past 1 to 12 months, depending on the medication), other treatments that affect the TTR protein
- You are unable to have a cardiac MRI scan (a special heart imaging test), or there is a medical reason you should not have one
- You have a major problem with an organ such as your kidneys, liver, heart, or nervous system
- You have had cancer in the past 5 years, an untreated thyroid problem, type 1 diabetes, active hepatitis B or C, or HIV
- You have had major surgery in the last 3 months, or are planning to have major surgery in the next 12 months
- You have had a known allergic reaction to the study drug, acoramidis
