Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with relapsing-remitting or secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, based on the most recent McDonald's criteria, and where that diagnosis was made at least 3 months ago
- People who experience fatigue as a symptom, with a fatigue score showing at least moderate fatigue (above 53 on the FSMC scale)
- People who have been on a stable MS medication for at least 3 months
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant, or those who could become pregnant and are not using a reliable form of contraception (such as oral contraceptives or another highly effective method)
- People who have had an MS relapse or received steroid treatment within the past 3 months
- People who are currently receiving treatment specifically aimed at fatigue, or who stopped such treatment within the past 3 months
- People who have a history of any neurological condition or other significant health condition other than MS
- People whose MS-related disability score (EDSS) is above 6.5 (confirm with trial site)
- People who have a major psychiatric disorder, including currently experiencing clinical depression
- People who take medications that primarily act on the brain or nervous system, with the exception of certain antidepressants known as SSRIs or SNRIs
- People who have a pacemaker or any other electronic device implanted in their body
- People who have any metal inside their skull
- People who have any metallic implant that is not compatible with MRI scanning
- People who experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
- People who have epilepsy themselves, or whose close relatives have epilepsy
- People who are currently misusing drugs or alcohol
