If you have both endometriosis and adenomyosis:
- You are willing and able to agree to take part in the study
- You are of European descent
- You have been diagnosed with both endometriosis and adenomyosis confirmed by ultrasound
- You are about to start your first or second IVF cycle
If you have endometriosis only:
- You are willing and able to agree to take part in the study
- You are of European descent
- You have been diagnosed with endometriosis, and your ultrasound shows no signs of adenomyosis
- You are enrolled in a fertility treatment cycle that involves using a previously frozen embryo
If you have adenomyosis only:
- You are willing and able to agree to take part in the study
- You are of European descent
- You have been diagnosed with adenomyosis, and your ultrasound shows no signs of endometriosis
- You are enrolled in a fertility treatment cycle that involves using a previously frozen embryo
If you are joining as a comparison (control) participant:
- You are willing and able to agree to take part in the study
- You are of European descent
- Your ultrasound has shown no signs of endometriosis or adenomyosis
- You are about to start your first or second IVF cycle
- You have low egg reserves or a mild male fertility issue as the reason for seeking fertility treatment
Who may not be able to join:
- Anyone who is unable or unwilling to sign the consent form agreeing to take part
- Anyone who has fluid-filled blocked fallopian tubes, fibroids, polyps, or unusual thickening of the womb lining found on ultrasound
