Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been clinically diagnosed with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer affecting the head and neck area) at stage I through IVA, with no prior treatment received, and who are planning to have either surgery alone or surgery combined with chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
- People who are able to speak Chinese and have basic reading and writing skills.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a mental health condition such as dementia or delirium.
- People who are actively using narcotic drugs, or who consume alcohol more than 4 times per day or more than 4 times per week.
- People whose treatment plan changes at any point during the course of the trial.
- People who are currently taking or have previously taken antidepressant medication.
