Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have a formal diagnosis of autism, confirmed using recognised diagnostic standards (such as DSM-4, DSM-5, or ICD-10), and supported by medical records or a professional assessment report.
• People who also have a formal diagnosis of OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), confirmed by a structured interview carried out by the trial assessor.
• People whose OCD symptoms score 16 or higher on a standard OCD severity scale called the CY-BOCS, as confirmed at the trial assessment.
• Children and young people aged between 7 and 17 years old.
• People who are able to read and write in Swedish.
• People who have regular access to a computer or smartphone/tablet with internet, and a mobile phone that can receive text messages.
• People who have a parent or caregiver who is able to take part in the treatment alongside their child.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have a global intellectual disability (a significant overall learning difficulty), as assessed through medical records and specific cognitive tests.
• People who have also been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder, a severe eating disorder, severe depression, alcohol or substance dependence, or hoarding disorder.
• People who currently have thoughts of suicide, or who have made a suicide attempt in the past 12 months.
• People whose main OCD symptoms are primarily about hoarding (collecting or difficulty throwing things away).
• People who have already completed a course of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) for OCD within the past 12 months, defined as at least 5 sessions including a technique called ERP (exposure and response prevention).
• People who are currently receiving another form of psychological therapy for OCD or anxiety.
• People whose medication for OCD or autism-related behavioural symptoms was started, changed in dose, or stopped within the 6 weeks before the baseline assessment.
• People who have a close family relationship (such as a sibling or cousin) to someone already enrolled in the trial, to prevent information from being shared between different trial groups.
