Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a Veteran who has been diagnosed with a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, or PTSD, and are receiving treatment at a Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC) or a related rehabilitation service.
- You are between 18 and 83 years old.
- You can read, write, and speak English comfortably.
- You are able to hear tones at a basic hearing level in both ears (a simple hearing check will be done as part of screening).
- You are able to see well enough to read a standard eye chart — at least 20/40 vision when both eyes are tested together, with glasses or contact lenses if you normally wear them.
Who may not be able to join:
- Your estimated general thinking and reading ability falls below a certain level, based on a reading test given during screening (confirm with trial site).
- You have used substances other than cannabis in the last 30 days — this may be checked through your medical records, a conversation during screening, or a urine test.
- You have a significant history of a serious medical condition or a neurological illness (a condition affecting the brain or nervous system) (confirm with trial site).
- You are unable to fully understand the study or are unable to give your informed consent to take part.
