Who might be able to join this trial:
- Your lung cancer has been confirmed by a lab test to be stage I invasive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), based on the most recent staging guidelines
- Your tumor can be surgically removed
- You are planned to have a specific type of lung surgery called a lobectomy (removal of a section of the lung) along with removal of nearby lymph nodes
- You have not had any other cancer in the past and do not have another cancer at the same time
- You have not received any cancer treatments or immune-boosting therapies before
- You are generally healthy enough to have surgery, with your heart, lungs, liver, brain, and kidneys working well enough, and you are able to carry out daily activities with little to no limitation
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form and follow the study schedule and procedures
Who may not be able to join:
- Your lung cancer has been confirmed as a non-invasive type, or you have small cell lung cancer, pre-cancerous lesions, or a benign (non-cancerous) growth
- You have used immune-suppressing or immune-boosting medications after your diagnosis
- You have a known or suspected autoimmune disease (where your immune system attacks your own body)
- You are allergic to thymopeptides (a type of medication used in this trial)
- You have other serious uncontrolled health conditions, including: a serious active infection; epilepsy requiring medication; kidney dialysis; wounds, ulcers, or bone fractures that are not healing; or a history of blood clots, stroke, or pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lungs) within the six months before starting the trial (confirm with trial site)
