Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You received radiation treatment (either to part of the brain or the whole brain and spine) for a brain tumour where radiotherapy was part of the main treatment plan
  • Your child has one of these tumour types: ependymoma, medulloblastoma, malignant germ cell tumour, craniopharyngioma, or pinealoblastoma
  • Your child was between 4 and 12 years old at the time of their radiation treatment
  • Radiation treatment finished within approximately the last 2 years before joining the study
  • Your child was treated with either standard radiation (photon therapy) or proton therapy
  • Your child is able to see, hear (hearing aids are allowed), and communicate well enough to complete memory and thinking tests
  • Your child and at least one parent/guardian speak French well enough to participate
  • Your child is registered with the French social security system
  • You and your child (where appropriate) have agreed to take part and signed a consent form in line with French law

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your child has severe problems with balance and coordination (severe ataxia)
  • Your child's tumour has come back (disease recurrence)
  • Your child has certain medical implants or devices that make MRI scans unsafe — for example, a pacemaker, defibrillator, certain brain clips, or orthopaedic implants — or your child is very anxious in enclosed spaces (this applies specifically to participants at the Toulouse site)
  • Your child is currently taking certain medications that affect mood, attention, or behaviour, such as methylphenidate (e.g. Ritalin) or antidepressants
  • There are personal, family, location-based, or social circumstances that would make it difficult to attend appointments and follow the study as required
  • Your child is under legal guardianship or has had their personal freedoms restricted in a legal sense
  • Your child has a severe condition called posterior fossa syndrome with akinetic mutism (a serious complication affecting movement and speech — confirm with trial site)
