Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are willing to sign a consent form and able to follow all the steps of the trial
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old at the time of signing the consent form
  • You have been confirmed (through a tissue or cell sample) to have stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer that does not have certain genetic mutations ("driver gene negative")
  • You have at least one tumour that can be measured on a scan, assessed within 4 weeks before joining the trial
  • You have a localised tumour that can be injected, located in the outer area of the lung, that is 5 cm or smaller in size — this could be the original tumour or one that has come back after surgery or radiotherapy
  • You are in good general health and able to carry out daily activities (with little to no limitation) within 7 days before the local treatment
  • Your localised tumour has remained stable (not grown or shrunk significantly) after two rounds of standard first-line chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment
  • You are expected to live for at least 3 months
  • Your liver, kidney, heart, blood, and other body functions are within normal ranges

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are planning to have radiotherapy, surgery, or similar treatments on the tumour after the injection
  • You have serious heart or lung problems, advanced liver or kidney failure, dangerous heart rhythm problems, or high blood pressure
  • You have serious bleeding problems, clotting disorders, active infections, or severe dehydration
  • You have a blood disorder, an autoimmune disease, or cirrhosis of the liver
  • You have a history of severe emphysema or significant damage to the air sacs in your lungs
  • You have a known allergy or medical reason not to use toluene sulfonamide (the drug being studied) (confirm with trial site)
  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study
  • The trial doctors have identified any other reason that makes you unsuitable for the trial
