Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with a type of mouth cancer called squamous cell carcinoma, confirmed through laboratory testing of tissue

  • People who are unable to use a mouth rinse, or unable to take metronidazole either by mouth or through a feeding tube
  • People who are currently taking antibiotics, or who have taken antibiotics within the past 30 days
  • People who are pregnant
