Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You had a colonoscopy that found ulcers in your small intestine (ileum) or large intestine (colon)
- Tissue samples from your intestine were tested for tuberculosis bacteria, including a stain test, a DNA test (PCR), and a culture (growing the bacteria in a lab)
- You have been diagnosed with either intestinal tuberculosis or Crohn's disease, based on one or more of the following:
- A specific type of inflammation (called caseating granuloma) was found when your tissue sample was examined
- Tuberculosis bacteria were seen directly in your tissue sample
- A DNA test (PCR) came back positive for tuberculosis bacteria
- Lab cultures from your tissue showed tuberculosis bacteria growing
- All the above tests were negative, but you responded well to tuberculosis treatment
- OR your diagnosis of Crohn's disease was confirmed through symptoms, colonoscopy findings, tissue examination, and/or imaging, and you responded to Crohn's disease treatment
Who may not be able to join:
- You have ulcers in your small or large intestine that are caused by a condition other than intestinal tuberculosis or Crohn's disease
