Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have had surgery (either Mohs micrographic surgery or wide local excision) to completely remove a skin cancer on the head or neck, leaving a full-thickness wound between 1.5 and 10 centimetres at its widest point, with clear edges confirmed by a pathology report.
- People whose wound edges cannot be pulled together and closed with stitches, staples, glue, or similar methods.
- People whose surgeon does not plan to immediately cover the wound with a skin graft or flap procedure.
- People aged over 21 years old.
- People who are willing and able to give informed consent to take part in the study.
- People who are able and willing to follow all study procedures and attend for the full duration of the study.
Who may not be able to join:
- People with medical conditions that, in the opinion of the investigator or treating doctor, could make study participation unsafe or make it difficult to follow the study protocol.
- People whose wound shape or contour means the study device would not fit properly into the wound.
- People who have signs of an active infection in the healthy tissue around the wound (note: normal bacteria present in the wound itself does not automatically exclude someone — confirm with trial site).
- People who have previously had radiation therapy at the wound site.
- People with a known allergy to pig tissue, pig collagen, or products derived from yeast.
- People currently enrolled in another drug or device trial, or who received an investigational treatment placed in a wound within the 30 days before joining this trial.
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the trial.
