Who might be able to join this trial:

Mental Health group:

• You have an electronic health record with a primary care (e.g. GP) or secondary care (e.g. hospital) service
• You have been diagnosed with, or received treatment or a referral for, major depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia
• You are 18 years old or over (there is no upper age limit)
• You can speak English

Dementia group:

• You are 18 years old or over (there is no upper age limit)
• You are currently alive and are, or have been, a patient under old age psychiatry services
• You have been diagnosed with dementia, mild memory problems, or subjective memory concerns, OR you have been referred to a memory clinic
• You are willing and able to complete a short memory and thinking assessment (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

Mental Health group:

• People who do not have the mental capacity to give their own consent to take part

Dementia group:

• People who cannot understand spoken or written English
• People who have an intellectual (learning) disability
• People whose dementia is caused by certain specific conditions, including Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), Huntington's disease, HIV, alcohol use, traumatic brain injury, or intellectual disability
• People with mild memory problems (MCI) or subjective memory concerns (SCI) who have also been diagnosed with depression, psychosis, or bipolar disorder before their memory diagnosis (confirm with trial site)
