Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 7 and 17 years old at the time of joining the study.
- You have been diagnosed with ADHD by a doctor, confirmed using standard diagnostic tools and interviews.
- Your ADHD symptoms score above a certain level on a standard rating scale at the start of the study.
- Your parent or legal guardian has signed a consent form, and if you are 15 or older, you have also signed one yourself.
- You may join whether you have never taken ADHD medication before, have taken stimulant medication in the past, or are currently taking a stable dose of stimulant medication (such as methylphenidate or dexamphetamines/lisdexamphetamine).
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently taking atomoxetine or guanfacine for ADHD.
- You have epilepsy.
- You have any electronic or metal implants in your body (such as a pacemaker).
- You have certain serious mental or physical health conditions in addition to ADHD, such as some autism spectrum conditions (excluding Asperger's syndrome), schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, severe depression with psychosis, substance dependence, heart or blood vessel problems, or cancer.
- Your IQ score is below 70, as measured by a recognised children's intelligence test.
- You have a significant level of restless sleep, as reported by a parent or caregiver and assessed by a doctor.
- You have other difficulties that might make it hard to use the device being studied in this trial (confirm with trial site).
