Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 to 79 years old
- People with a liver condition called MASLD or MASH who are already taking part in another clinical trial that requires specific liver imaging scans (MRI PDFF and/or MRE)
- People with MASLD or MASH who are already enrolled in a research follow-up study that requires those same liver imaging scans
- People who have been referred by their doctor to have MRI PDFF or MRE liver imaging
- People who have signed a written consent form agreeing to take part in the study
- People who have active social security coverage
Who may not be able to join:
- People under 18 years old or 80 years old and above
- People who have active implanted medical devices (such as a pacemaker)
- People who have a wound or skin injury on the upper right side of the abdomen, where the study's examination device would need to be placed
- People who have a history of advanced liver disease where the liver has stopped working properly (decompensated cirrhosis)
- People who have a history of liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma)
- Adults who are under legal guardianship or who are not able to give informed consent
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who are currently in legal detention or otherwise deprived of their freedom
- People who are hospitalised without being able to give consent, or who are admitted as an emergency
- People who have another known liver disease beyond MASLD/MASH
