Who might be able to join this trial:
- One partner (the "target partner") must have a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher (or 23 or higher if they are Asian American) — this is a measure of body weight relative to height
- The target partner must not have been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes

Who may not be able to join:
- The "supporting partner" (the partner who does not have prediabetes risk) has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
- Either partner has been diagnosed with a long-term (chronic) health condition that has had a major change or event in the last 3 months (confirm with trial site)
- Either partner is currently taking medication or following a program to manage prediabetes or obesity
- Either partner has previously taken part in the National Diabetes Prevention Program
- Either partner feels uncomfortable taking part in a healthy lifestyle program together with their partner
- Either partner reports a low level of commitment to their relationship, based on a specific survey question about staying in the relationship through difficult times (confirm with trial site)
