"Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are male.
- You are over 50 years old.
- You have been diagnosed by your doctor with one of the following conditions: a type of arthritis (such as rheumatoid arthritis or psoriatic arthritis), a connective tissue disease (such as lupus, systemic sclerosis, Sjögren's syndrome, or mixed connective tissue disease), a type of blood vessel inflammation (such as certain forms of vasculitis or giant cell arteritis), sarcoidosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a lung scarring condition (ILD), or asthma.
- Healthy volunteers may also be able to join if they are male and over 50 years old, with no history of autoimmune, rheumatological, or lung conditions.
Who may not be able to join:
- You are female.
- You are 50 years old or younger.
- For healthy volunteers: you have an autoimmune or rheumatological disease.
- For healthy volunteers: you have a pre-existing lung condition.
