Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People whose cancer has advanced to a point where major liver surgery or a complex pancreatic surgery (called a Whipple procedure) would be required
  • People who had their gallbladder removed previously and show no signs of bile spillage or remaining cancer on imaging scans
  • People experiencing jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes) caused by the cancer blocking the bile ducts
  • People whose cancer has grown into major blood vessels near the liver
  • People who have cancer that has spread to distant parts of the body, or only to the site of a previous surgical incision
  • People whose cancer has reached lymph nodes outside the immediate area around the gallbladder, such as those near the celiac artery or aorta
  • People with a poor performance status rated 3 or higher on the ECOG scale, meaning significant limitations in daily activity
  • People who are pregnant
  • People who are unable or unwilling to follow the study requirements
