Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS (a type of MS with flare-ups and periods of recovery) or progressive MS (a type that gradually worsens over time)
- People aged between 18 and 60 years
- People whose body weight falls within a moderate range (BMI between 18.5 and 39.9)
- People who are either not taking any MS medications, or who have been on a stable MS medication for at least 6 months

- People who are currently following a weight loss program or a specific diet (such as vegetarian or vegan), people who are not willing to follow the diet assigned by the trial, or people who already closely follow a Mediterranean-style diet
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have had an MS relapse (flare-up) or received cortisone treatment within the 30 days before joining the study
- People with significant ongoing health conditions such as serious metabolic disorders, progressive diseases, or cancer
- People taking more than 1 gram per day of omega-3 fatty acid supplements
- People who are underweight or severely obese
- People with significant difficulties in thinking, understanding, or cooperating
- People with type 1 (insulin-dependent) diabetes
- People who have lost more than 5 kg in the 2 months before joining the study
- People who have been diagnosed with, or are suspected of having, an eating disorder
- People with a history of kidney stones
- People taking blood-thinning medication (oral anticoagulants)
- People with a known history of alcohol or drug misuse
