Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must be 18 years old or older.
  • You either had a positive COVID-19 test (by nose/throat swab, antibody, or antigen test) at least 3 months before joining the study, OR a doctor assessed that you likely had COVID-19 (even without a positive test) with an illness starting after October 15, 2019, and at least 3 months before joining.
  • If you are already being treated for any symptoms related to your condition, that treatment must have been stable (unchanged) for at least 4 weeks before entering the study.
  • You have had lingering COVID-19 symptoms that started more than 3 months after your acute COVID illness and have lasted for at least 2 months.
  • You must still be experiencing lingering COVID-19 symptoms at the time you join the study.
  • If you are able to become pregnant and are sexually active, you must agree to use at least one highly effective form of contraception, or practice complete abstinence, during the study (confirm with trial site for approved methods).
  • You must be able to give informed consent and be willing and able to follow all study requirements.
  • Any medications taken for fatigue or thinking/memory problems (including sildenafil, modafinil, armodafinil, guanfacine, N-acetyl cysteine, or ADHD stimulant medications) must have been stopped at least 4 weeks before joining the study.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who needed a breathing machine (mechanical ventilation) or a heart-lung bypass machine (ECMO) during their COVID-19 illness.
  • People who currently have major organ failure, have had an organ transplant, or are currently admitted to a hospital for acute care.
  • People who have a medical reason they cannot take the study treatment (confirm with trial site).
  • People who are already taking the medication being studied in this trial.
  • People who are currently participating in another clinical trial that involves a treatment or intervention (observational studies are allowed).
  • People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • People who are already enrolled in another clinical trial specifically treating brain or memory-related symptoms of Long COVID.
