Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have a brain tumor located in various parts of the brain (but not at the base of the skull)
- You have a tumor that started at or near the base of the skull, including areas around the pituitary gland
- You have a blood vessel condition in the brain, such as an aneurysm, abnormal blood vessel connections (AVMs), cavernomas, Moyamoya disease, abnormal vessel connections involving the brain's lining, or a non-injury-related bleed in the brain
- You have a brain injury, including different types of bleeding in or around the brain, skull fractures, or fluid build-up in the brain (hydrocephalus)
- You have a spine condition, including wear-and-tear problems in the neck or back, spinal cord pressure, injury to the spine, disc problems, or a spinal tumor
- You have a neurological condition such as Parkinson's disease, epilepsy that hasn't responded to medication, tremor, muscle stiffness, facial pain, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, or normal pressure hydrocephalus
- You have a condition affecting the nerves outside the brain or spinal cord, such as nerve compression, nerve tumors, or an injury to a nerve or nerve network (such as the brachial plexus)
- You have a structural condition present from birth, such as Chiari malformation (where brain tissue extends into the spinal canal) or an abnormal skull shape (craniosynostosis), or hydrocephalus related to a developmental condition
- For the memory and psychological part of the study specifically: you are 18 years old or older, you can understand Italian adequately, and you have been diagnosed with a glioma, meningioma, a blood vessel condition, or a spinal condition
Who may not be able to join:
- For the memory and psychological part of the study: you have a history of psychiatric illness or currently take psychiatric/psychological medications
- For the memory and psychological part of the study: you have a history of significant memory or thinking difficulties that are not related to your current condition
- For the memory and psychological part of the study: you are under 18 years old
