  • People taking certain medications that could interfere with the study results, such as steroids, GLP-1 medications (such as those used for weight loss or diabetes), or hormone replacement therapy
  • Women who have not yet reached menopause and do not have a regular menstrual cycle of approximately 28 days (plus or minus 2 days), and who are also not using hormonal contraceptives
  • People with fasting blood sugar levels above 125 mg/dL or an HbA1c (a measure of average blood sugar over time) above 6.4%
