Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older who have served, or are currently serving, in the military.
- People who have been formally diagnosed with PTSD through a structured clinical interview called the CAPS-5 (a standardised assessment used by clinicians to diagnose PTSD).
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are experiencing active psychosis (a loss of touch with reality) or dementia at the time of screening.
- People who are currently having thoughts of suicide with a clear intention to act on them.
- People who are already enrolled in another clinical trial for PTSD or depression.
- People who have a substance use disorder.
- People with vision problems that would prevent use of an augmented reality (AR) headset — however, people whose vision is corrected with contact lenses may still be eligible, as contacts can be worn under the headset. For those who cannot wear contacts, a mild prescription of no stronger than -2.00 diopters may still be acceptable (confirm with trial site).
