Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 40 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a type of lung scarring disease, confirmed by a special type of CT scan called an HRCT
- Your CT scan shows a specific pattern of lung changes consistent with IPF, as confirmed by a central review team before the study begins
- You have previously received treatment for IPF that meets the study's specific requirements (confirm with trial site)
- Your lungs are working at 45% or more of the expected normal level, based on a breathing test called a Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) test
- You meet additional breathing test requirements at the screening visit (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:
- You have another condition that causes similar lung scarring patterns, such as rheumatoid arthritis-related or connective tissue disease-related lung disease, or other significant lung problems
- You have had a sudden, serious worsening of your IPF in the 6 months before screening or during the screening period
- You currently have a lower airway infection that needs antibiotic treatment
- You had major surgery in the 3 months before screening, or you have major surgery planned during the trial
- You have had cancer, or there is evidence of active or suspected cancer, within the past 5 years
- You currently have signs of an active infection
- You have had certain heart or blood vessel problems recently, including severe high blood pressure in the last 3 months, a heart attack or unstable chest pain in the last 6 months, a blood clot event in the last 6 months, or a heart failure diagnosis in the last 6 months
- You have high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary hypertension)
- You are unable to swallow tablets or capsules, or you have had major stomach or gut surgery, or have a digestive condition that might affect how the study drug is absorbed into your body
- You have HIV, or active hepatitis B or C
