• Mothers who have a significant intellectual, cognitive, or medical health condition that would prevent participation
• Children who weighed less than 5 pounds at birth
• Children who have certain health conditions, or who are taking long-term antibiotics (for more than one month)
• Children who are not the youngest eligible child in their family (if a family has more than one child who could join, only the youngest would be considered)
