Who might be able to join this trial:
- You (or your legal guardian/caregiver) must be willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
- You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
- You must have a suspected kidney cancer diagnosis based on standard imaging scans, and be scheduled to have a special type of scan called a 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT.
- Your standard imaging scans or the 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT scan must show possible signs that cancer may have spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body.
- You must be willing and able to follow all the steps of the study plan.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have already received any cancer treatment before having the PET/CT scan.
- You have a serious condition affecting the nervous system, heart, stomach or gut, liver, kidneys, blood, breathing, or immune system.
- You have a reason why you cannot have a PET/CT scan — for example, you cannot tolerate repeated injections into a vein, you may be allergic to the scan drug or its ingredients, or you experience severe anxiety in enclosed spaces (claustrophobia).
- You have been diagnosed with another type of cancer within the past year.
- You have had a major operation within the past 3 months.
- You have received an experimental drug or device treatment within the past month, or are currently taking part in another clinical trial involving a treatment.
- You are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
- You are likely to be unable to attend follow-up appointments.
- There is any other reason the research team believes could affect the study or make it unsafe or unsuitable for you to take part (confirm with trial site).
