Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old (inclusive), either male or female
- If you are female, you weigh at least 45 kg (about 99 lbs); if you are male, you weigh at least 50 kg (about 110 lbs)
- A special lung scan (HRCT) has shown bronchiectasis (widening/damage of the airways) in one or more parts of your lungs, and a doctor has confirmed this is not related to cystic fibrosis
- You are expected to live for more than 12 months
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form before the trial begins
- If you are able to have children, you are willing to use appropriate contraception during the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs), COPD, or asthma as your main lung condition
- You currently have an active respiratory virus infection, such as COVID-19 or flu, with symptoms
- You have psoriasis or lichen planus (certain skin conditions)
- You have certain skin or joint conditions including Wright's disease, keratosis, hemorrhagic keratosis, or reactive arthritis (confirm with trial site)
- You have chlorine acne, large common warts, or keratodermatitis (certain skin conditions) (confirm with trial site)
- You have a diabetic foot condition
- You have gum disease, an oral infection, or loose teeth
- You have had a cancer diagnosis within the past 5 years
- You have a history of liver disease or are currently being treated for liver problems, including hepatitis, cirrhosis, or liver failure
- You have any other unstable medical condition, as judged by the trial doctors
- You have taken oral or inhaled antibiotics in the 4 weeks before starting the trial
- You have taken immune-suppressing medications in the 4 weeks before starting the trial
- You have taken any medications that may cause skin thickening in the 4 weeks before screening (confirm with trial site)
- You have received a live vaccine (such as certain flu or travel vaccines) within 30 days before starting the trial
- You have taken part in a medical device clinical trial within the past 3 months
- You have an active hepatitis B or C infection, HIV, or syphilis
- You currently misuse drugs
- You are a current smoker, or you stopped smoking less than 3 months ago
- You are known or suspected to be allergic to the trial drug or any of its ingredients, or you have had a severe allergic reaction to any drug, food, or other substance
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are unable to complete questionnaires or forms yourself, and neither you nor a family member is able to fill in a study log (confirm with trial site)
- The trial doctors decide there is any other reason that makes participation unsuitable for you
