Who may be able to join
AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI
Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with Stage IV squamous non-small cell lung cancer, confirmed by a tissue or cell sample test
- People whose cancer has continued to grow or spread (according to standard medical measurements) after receiving both an immunotherapy drug (anti-PD-1 or PD-L1 type) and platinum-based chemotherapy for Stage IV disease
- People living with HIV, provided their HIV is well controlled on antiviral medication
- People who have tested positive for Hepatitis B surface antigen, provided they have been on Hepatitis B antiviral treatment for at least 4 weeks and the virus is undetectable in their blood
- People with a history of Hepatitis C infection, provided the Hepatitis C virus is no longer detectable in their blood
Who may not be able to join:
- People diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, or with a mixed tumour that contains small cell elements
- People with an uncontrolled or serious heart or blood vessel condition
- People with severe lung problems caused by other lung illnesses, such as blood clots in the lungs within the past 3 months, severe asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, restricted lung function, fluid around the lungs, or certain inflammatory conditions affecting the lungs — or people who have had a full lung removed
- People who are still experiencing side effects (other than hair loss) from previous cancer treatments that have not returned to a mild level or to their pre-treatment baseline
- People with a clinically significant eye (cornea) condition
- People who have previously been treated with a chemotherapy drug called docetaxel, either alone or combined with other treatments
- People who have another cancer that is still growing or has needed active treatment within the past 3 years
- People with untreated cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord fluid
- People with evidence of cancer spreading to the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord
- People with a history of, a current diagnosis of, or clinical or imaging signs suggesting a serious lung inflammation condition called interstitial lung disease (ILD) or pneumonitis (a history of radiation-related lung inflammation that did not require steroids may be an exception — confirm with trial site)
- People with an active autoimmune disease that has needed systemic (whole-body) medical treatment within the past 2 years (note: standard hormone or steroid replacement therapies appear to be permitted — confirm with trial site)
- People with an active infection currently requiring systemic (whole-body) treatment
- People living with HIV who also have a history of Kaposi's sarcoma or Multicentric Castleman's Disease
- People with active inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or chronic diarrhoea) that requires immune-suppressing medication, or a clear past history of these conditions
- People with a known history of, or currently active, a neurological condition caused by the immune system reacting to cancer (paraneoplastic syndrome)
- People who have previously received a transplant of donor tissue or a solid organ
- People who have not fully recovered from major surgery, or who are still experiencing complications from surgery
