Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 65 years old
- You are able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- You have been diagnosed with OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) confirmed through a standard medical interview
- You have tried at least two different courses of a type of antidepressant called SSRIs (such as fluoxetine or sertraline), each for at least 3–6 months, without enough improvement
- You have tried the maximum dose of a medication called clomipramine for 3–6 months without enough improvement
- You have tried Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (a talking therapy) for at least six months without enough improvement
- You have tried a type of medication called atypical antipsychotics (alone or combined with other medications) for at least three months without enough improvement
Who may not be able to join:
- You have another diagnosed psychiatric or psychotic condition
- You have previously received treatments such as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), brain stimulation therapies (such as TMS, tDCS, tACS, or DBS)
- You are currently considered at risk of suicide (confirm with trial site)
- You have difficulty communicating clearly with the research team
- You have a history of a serious brain injury
- You have stents in your brain or heart/blood vessels
- You have used drugs or alcohol problematically in the past six months
- You have an unstable neurological condition or a blood clotting disorder
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or able to become pregnant but unwilling to use reliable contraception during the study
- You have taken part in another clinical trial within the past three months
- You have any other condition that the research team considers makes participation unsuitable (confirm with trial site)
