Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People whose leukemia has come back after a stem cell transplant from a donor, shown by leukemia cells reappearing in the blood or bone marrow, or in other parts of the body, or through specific lab test results.
  • People whose bone marrow testing has found a specific gene change called C-KIT D816 or C-KIT N822 mutation.
  • People whose leukemia has a specific gene abnormality called CBFB::MYH11 or RUNX1::RUNX1T1 fusion gene.

  • People who agree to take part voluntarily, sign a consent form, and are able to follow and complete all parts of the trial.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with a known allergy to medicines in the same family as KIT inhibitor drugs.
  • People who have previously been treated with a drug called Midostaurin.
  • People who have previously been treated with a C-KIT inhibitor targeted specifically at their mutation and whose disease got worse while on that treatment.
  • People whose leukemia has a gene change called FLT3-ITD mutation at a significant level (a low gene ratio may be acceptable — confirm with trial site).
  • People who are currently infected with HIV, or who have an active hepatitis B or hepatitis C infection.
  • People who have serious uncontrolled conditions such as heart or blood vessel disease, blood clotting disorders, connective tissue diseases, or severe infections.
  • People who have uncontrolled active graft-versus-host disease (a condition where donor cells attack the body after a transplant).
  • People whose leukemia has spread to the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord).
