Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with a squamous cell (a specific type of cancer cell) tumour in the mouth, throat, or voice box
- People who are having surgery as the main treatment for their head and neck cancer, with no previous cancers in other parts of the body and no treatments given before surgery
- People whose stored tissue samples are sufficient and suitable for the planned laboratory tests

- People who have had a previous head and neck cancer
- People who have another cancer that is currently being treated or has been in follow-up for less than 5 years
